In these days of mass produced, flat packed, easy to assemble, chip board laminated furniture, the site and smell of real wooden furniture is a treat.

Out in the hills of Derbyshire at Brassington, Andrew Marshall has been producing real furniture for 17 years. With a team of 4 employees, including a designer Andrew creates "bespoke furniture" out of pine, oak and tulip wood.

Visiting Old Farmhouse Furniture is a unique experience and seeing the team lovingly turn the carefully chosen new wood into beautiful works of art, and the smell of the new timbers is something to remember in these days of mass production. Many of the creations are produced after consultation with the client enabling Andrew to "feel" the individual requirements that will result in a luxurious kitchen, bathroom or bedroom. If the commissions require the addition of marble or granite worktops, floor or wall tiles, these are all sourced locally.

After 17 years in the trade, 11 of which have been at Andrew's Brassington address, Andrew moves with the times. Recently the painted "Shaker" style of kitchen furniture became popular and by teaming up with local artist Christine Maclean she has been able to give an individual hand painted finish to the furniture created by Old Farmhouse Furniture. Local granite suppliers, Lowes Marble of Middleton by Wirksworth, provide the necessary expertise when clients require that high quality.

If your home requires that touch of luxury for the kitchen, bathroom or bedroom then a visit is a must! We look forward to seeing you.
